The Peers of Harmony are a Barbershop harmony singing club based in South Shields. We are a 20 plus club specializing in traditional Barbershop singing. Formed in September 2007 as a result of a meeting of seven of the original Roker Peers of Harmony who were the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) gold medal chorus in 1982.

The Peers of Harmony made their broadcasting debut on Thursday 29th January on BBC Radio Newcastle. Guesting on the Jonathan Miles Midmorning Show the chorus were represented by quartet Very Old Gold due to the restricted space in the studio. Peter Jones, Eddie Evans, Mike Kimber and Geoff Ramsey sang live on air then taught host Jonathan a tag which he sang with them. Jonathan was so impressed with the sound the guys produced he asked them to record a jingle which he will use on his future shows. Click here to listen (edited down to 10 mins).
